How time flies...
Here are some current stats for the project:- So far TwainBot has sent over 3300 tweets on its own
- the TwainBot repo on GitHub has 5 stars
- @Mock_Twain has 770 followers on Twitter
- Currently on Chapter 32 of 35
The book is rapidly approaching completion, and the last tweet should be sent on or about Dec 22nd. After that tweet is sent, I will turn off TwainBot (i.e. halt the cron job) and @Mock_Twain will go silent for a while. I'm excited to see this project wrap up, and would love to hear people's feedback/thoughts on it!
What comes next?
What to do with TwainBot? This is a question I've been wrestling with. Current ideas include- starting another Twain book (Huckleberry Finn perhaps?)
- doing a different automated Twain project
- using the RaspberryPi for something entirely different
